 Day 1 - Thursday

Ok - it is Thursday - just. Some started as they meant to go on by drinking at 10pm Wednesday night in Gorleston. The rest of us grabbed a couple of hours sleep and met up in Yarmouth at 1:45am where we were picked up and once the norwich boys were collected we were on our way to the airport. Don't ask why Nobby has a bin liner on but it was certainly classier than his normal attire.

4am - arrive at airport and check straight in. Then as usual head for the bar for breakfast and beer.

Dom surprised everyone by handing out Calvin facemasks. It was a scary sight for the majority in the airport as 25 Calvins grinned at them. There was also a Lofty mask for Calvin and as we were travelling on Easyjet a Stelios mask.

The flight itself was routine, a few people managed to sleep, several more drank and the rest chatted or listened to music. We were on the ground in Ibiza by 9:30 and soon on the way to the hotel.

Check in at the hotel was simple enough too. We managed to get into our rooms (although for some reason everyone apart from myself, Ray and Nobby were on the other side of the hotel) and threw our bags down and made our way to the pool/bar.
I hadn't been sitting by the pool for more than 5 minutes before getting into an argument with some dago barman. He didn't like it that I had an unopened bottle of water and some crisps in a bag by me, and wanted me to give them to him to look after. Several heated words later and he had got his way.

As you are aware - in a hot country you can't sit by the pool all day, so we had a choice - go to our rooms and rest for a few hours to make up for having no sleep Wednesday night or go out to the beach bars. 5 minutes later we were by the beach bars.

Evesy started out like this

but we soon had him looking like this

Tye kindly threw me in the pool fully clothed

Drink was starting to take its toll and Geoff was the first to suffer shortly followed by Nackers who had a case of projectile vomit - much to the amusement of us and the disgust of the bar owner who tried to stop him from vomiting almost neat alcohol onto his patio.

no one photographed it but it was something like above.

Glen went in the sea and was the first one to stand on a sea urchin causing his foot to swell up.

We also met some guy called MC Harvey - he was black but must have been Scottish with a name like that!

All good things must end so we relented and went for some food. Nobby decided to grab 40 winks on the floor in the restaurant. He ended up with ketchup all over him somehow.

After a few hours rest we all headed out for the night to San An's famous West End. Ray held the kitty for most of us and by wheeler-dealing we only spent about £30 euros all night.

The night out was marred by Dom having his blackberry stolen and a couple of others managing to break their phones.

Calvin has never been so popular with the women!

Day 2 - Friday

It was Goff's birthday. As usual we all received T-shirts to mark the occasion. Dom surpassed himself with them. Below are some of the photos that were on the backs of the shirts. All of them also said "Strain my Beans Idiot!"

Friday started off with breakfast and then a trip out to the main bay area of San Antonio. The first bar we went in we came across a comatose young lady. Someone suggested a game of Buckaroo - see how many things we could balance on her head without her waking up.

It was a lovely sunny Friday afternoon and we ended up in a bar, watching the world go by and playing the middle names game. I shan't embarrass anyone by putting their middle names on here - well at least not with their first names. That wouldn't be fair would it Leslie, and Elvin, and others. Tungy said he was too poor to have a middle name unfortunately.

Friday night

This was the main event of the weekend. Radio One had agreed to do a live broadcast by Vernon Kay and Pete Tong in honour of Goff from our hotel. You don't get that service on a saga holiday! Everyone crammed into a couple of the rooms overlooking the stage, although later on I got bored and went back to my room (shortly followed by Ray) where I watched several people who I really didn't know perform.

We left the hotel about 10:30 and went out to the bars of the West End again. Straight away we bumped into Vernon Kay who was out with ex Liverpool footballer Phil Babb.

Day 3 - Saturday

Saturday started out as Friday did with a late breakfast. This was also the day that Bobby Robson died so someone needs to let Glen know. After breakfast we made our way down to the beach - heading towards Cafe Del Mar as Goff wanted to watch the sun go down (Yes I know we headed that way at 2pm and the sun didnt go down until after 8)

As the sun slowly set I was tricked into going into the sea wearing a nice new pair of flip flops that we had gotten from Cafe Del Mar. I didn't pay for them luckily we got them with tokens we had been given, but they only lasted about 5 minutes as I stepped back into an abyss, losing my flip flops, spilling my sangria and stood on a sea urchin gaining a nice black spine in my toe. Luckily it didnt swell up or give me any trouble.

We went back to the hotel, showered and changed and again headed out for the night. At some point during the night several of the lads ended up miles away at a club which cost about 35 euros to get in. Mugs!

We're not sure if this girl had ever met Bunny but he must have upset her at some point and he wasn't even in Ibiza with us. Maybe he was late delivering her post one day???

Day 4 - Sunday

We had a long day ahead of us. We had to be out of the rooms by 12 and the coach wasn't picking us up until 6ish. We had the usual breakfast and headed to the seafront then a bar to sit and watch the cricket with air conditioning. Nothing exciting happened so only a couple more photos. Darren cheated by sleeping in the bar, and the final photo had to be of Nobby's underpants. Glen took top honours for his T-shirts but Nobby outdid everyone in the skids department.

I'm sure Calvin would like to thank everyone who came on the holiday. I'm looking forward to the next one but we are running out of people under 40 so it will have to be 50th's next!

Cheers for a great long weekend
